About Min J. Koo

Min Koo moved to Columbus, Georgia as a young child when her father became stationed at Ft. Benning Army base during his military career. Since then, Ms. Koo has called Columbus home and only moved away to Athens to obtain her undergraduate degrees and law degree from the University of Georgia.

After law school, Ms. Koo worked as a trial attorney working for all major insurance companies. While working at one of the largest insurance defense law firms in the country, her skills and reputation as a trial attorney caught the attention of Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Company. Ms. Koo was soon scouted to its headquarters in Seoul, South Korea where she worked for the next several years as the Global General Counsel and the Head of Global Legal for Samsung.

As the Head of Global Legal, Ms. Koo was responsible for all individual and class action personal injury, property damage, product liability and commercial litigation worldwide, including in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, China, Malaysia, and Egypt to name a few. In addition, she handled all international arbitrations involving Samsung or its insureds. Ms. Koo’s skills as a trial attorney and leadership was recognized both in and outside of Samsung, and under her leadership, Samsung was awarded Best Legal Department amongst several Southeast Asian countries.

After a highly successful tenure at Samsung, Ms. Koo returned home to be closer to her family and to devote her practice to helping injured victims. With over 15 years of trial experience and insurance expertise, Ms. Koo is uniquely qualified for and is dedicated to helping injured individuals and their families.
